The Next Step

Its hard to believe how fast the time is passing. Only two weeks ago I finished my first year at WWU and now June is almost over. I received an email from the director of the hospital and school over in Blantyre this morning. She informed me that the school starts August 23rd so I need to be there for sure by then. Since my summer job doesn't end till August 30th, I feel bad leaving so early on them but at this point it looks like I will be looking for flights to Malawi for around August 15th.

I am beginning to become a little stressed with the level of things that I need to accomplish before the 15th of August arrives. Thankfully my job this year allows me to have afternoons off so that should help in the process. The task of fundraising has began. This task scares me the most,$3,000 is a lot of money to raise. The SM office at WWU doesn't even begin to look at tickets until we have at least half of the our money. I know God will provide and that I just need to place it all in his hands and do my best but its hard for me not to stress just a little. Please continue to keep me your prayers. 58 more day (plus or minus a few) and I'll be on a plane to Africa!!
